Position Summary: The Production Control Auditor is responsible for conducting detailed inspections of aircraft interiors and exteriors (paint and wash) to ensure they meet company standards for cosmetic condition and presentation. A strong attention to detail and cross-functional coordination are essential to ensure aircraft are in brand ready condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough audits of aircraft appearance using an in-house digital inspection tool, focusing on cosmetic issues such as paint condition, interior wear and tear throughout the aircraft that is defined by the Cabin Standards Manual.
  • Utilize additional tools and resources (e.g., maintenance tracking systems, scheduling dashboards, ground operations logs) to monitor and document aircraft ground time.
  • Identify and record discrepancies with precision, including minor cosmetic defects, and ensure findings are properly documented with photos and comments.
Collaborate with Lead Production Control Auditor to resolve appearance-related issues efficiently and ground time constraints

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass an extensive drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have basic typing skills.
  • Should have strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Should be a team player with the ability to work with a high level of accuracy within time constraints and under minimum supervision.
  • Should have an overall understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Should have the ability to exercise sound judgment, adaptability and flexibility in a constantly changing environment.
  • (If transferring internally) Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle cosmetic discrepancies.
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, detailing, or quality assurance preferred.
  • Familiarity with aircraft interiors and exteriors, and cosmetic presentation standards.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and applications for inspection, documentation, and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • On-site inspections in hangars and ramp areas; may require climbing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
May involve shift work or irregular hours depending on aircraft schedules
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Previous Operations experience is preferred.
  • Operating knowledge of computer programs used at Delta, such as Ebis and Microsoft Office products is desired.
