Arconic is currently in search of Metallurgical Technician to join our Quality Team based in Massena, NY.

Overall, you will provide support to the Quality Team.
In this role, you will:
- Collect data and samples
- Prepare and maintain documentation
- Monitor product and processes related to resolving QMR’s and claims associated with Extrusion, Drawing, Solution Heat Treatment, Annealing, Ageing, Stretching, Cut-to-length Burnishing and Pack Ship
- Perform product/process audits
- Perform shopfloor training & toolbox talks
- Conduct routine physical and chemical tests like etch, conductivity, grade etc.
- Assist metallurgists in processing experiments and interpreting test results
- Document and report findings, conclusions, and recommendations based on experiments and tests
- Prepare graphs, charts, and tables to present test results
- Maintain laboratory and plant equipment calibration records
- Follow safety procedures to ensure the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials
- Follow established safety rules and regulations
- Monitor metal processing procedures to ensure optimal product performance
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, sales & QA teams to develop new processes & products
- Initiate purchase orders for ordering supplies and services
- Assist with overseeing the Physical Testing Lab
- Preforms other duties as assigned
You have: (required)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Three years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Labs, Extrusion, Fabrication, or Pack/Ship
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Experience with ISMenu
- Strong mechanical and process aptitude preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Able to work flexible hours as required
- Five years of manufacturing experience
Annual Base Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00
