Machining Support Associate – 2nd or 3rd Shift

Parker Lord’s Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications.  We pride ourselves in differentiating from our competitors by providing high technology solutions and the highest quality products.  Our core competencies include machining and rubber-to-metal bonding, and we hold multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP. 

Performs special process operations to ensure aerospace components meet required quality standards at expected production levels. Operations include deburr, dot peen, sandblasting, painting and cleaning prior to machining.

Essential Job Functions

  • Performs manual deburr and hand finishing operations per established procedures

  • Operates dot peen machine, tumblers and blasters 

  • Suggest and participate in the implementation of process improvements and scrap reduction activities   

  • Performs all required preventative maintenance activities   

  • Completes all quality related inspection requirements 

  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product

  • Actively participates in High Performance Teams and Continuous Improvement activities

  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures

  • Other assignments as required 

     

Qualifications 

  • Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required 
  • Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork 
  • Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook 
  • Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision
  • 1 year of experience deburring parts preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
