What Youll Get to DoReporting directly to the Base Engineer and taking direction from the on-shift Crew Chief, an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice assists the licensed AME with the maintenance, service, inspection, and diagnostics of Aircraft engines (including propellers and rotors). This also includes electrical systems, components, and accessories on the aircraft.Carry out line and heavy maintenanceInterpret technical drawings as requiredHandle daily flight snagsGeneral duties related to hangar and equipment upkeepDe-icing duties as requiredGSE Repairs and Servicing as requiredParticipation in the Safety Management SystemMaintain all assigned training required within job roleOther duties as assignedHours of WorkShift work is required and may include mornings/afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekendsSkills & Experience We Value Grade 12 diploma or equivalentMust provide proof of completion of approved training in the form of a diploma with valid TCCA approval numberBasic Computer skills (word, excel, office)Knowledge of an airline’s operations an assetAbility to prioritize tasksMust be able to work independently or in a team settingAbility to work efficiently and accurately under pressurePossess a valid driver’s licenseTravel may be requiredAbility to lift 75lbsMust be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance qualificationInuktitut language considered an assetPreference given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
