Job Description
The Wire Harness Assembler builds and assembles wiring harnesses and cable assemblies by interpreting engineering blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOM). This role performs wiring, harnessing, cabling, and related tasks in accordance with IPC-620 standards, using both manual and automated assembly equipment in a clean, quality-focused production environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and utilize engineering blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOM) to build wire harnesses and cable assemblies accurately.
- Perform wiring, harnessing, and cabling operations, including wire stripping, crimping, layout, and lacing in accordance with IPC-620 standards.
- Set up and operate automated assembly equipment to support production requirements.
- Use manual and powered hand tools safely and effectively during assembly tasks.
- Follow ISO 9000 processes and procedures to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
- Inspect work during all phases of production to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain excellent organization of workstations, tools, and materials to support efficient workflow.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and support production goals.
- Handle materials and components safely, including lifting items up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Follow all workplace safety, cleanliness, and production guidelines in a clean assembly environment.
Essential Skills
- At least 2+ years of wire harnessing or wire harness assembly experience.
- Ability to understand and utilize engineering blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Hands-on experience with wiring, harnessing, and cabling, including wire stripping, crimping, layout, and lacing.
- Familiarity with IPC-620 standards for cable and wire harness assemblies.
- Experience working with ISO 9000 quality systems.
- Ability to set up and run automated assembly equipment.
- Proficiency using manual and powered hand tools for assembly work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as part of regular duties.
- Ability to read and work with small print on drawings and documentation.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
