PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading organization in the aerospace industry to hire a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Technician. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced production equipment and mechanical systems that support critical aerospace technologies.
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring that mechanical and electromechanical systems are built, tested, and maintained to the highest quality standards. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to the production of reliable components used in aerospace applications.
Role Overview
The Manufacturing Technician operates production equipment and supports the construction, maintenance, testing, and repair of mechanical systems and assemblies. Working from blueprints, diagrams, and specifications, you will help ensure that products meet strict tolerance levels and quality requirements while supporting efficient production processes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Operate production equipment to support manufacturing operations
Follow blueprints, diagrams, and technical guidelines to ensure product specifications and tolerances are met
Construct, maintain, and test mechanical and electromechanical systems and assemblies
Perform troubleshooting, calibrations, and modifications of hardware, fixtures, and software
Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust systems and components
Maintain accurate production records and report issues according to standard procedures
Interpret technical data and record time changes, test results, and parts usage
Utilize mechanical or optical equipment, including computers and laser systems
Provide technical feedback and solutions to engineering teams
Ensure systems and components meet established engineering specifications
Rework and repair mechanical or electromechanical components when required
Assist engineering with the design or development of components and prototypes when needed
Participate in cross-training opportunities and maintain multiple technical skill certifications
Train or mentor new technicians as required
Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, and Continuous Improvement guidelines
Perform additional duties as assigned, including overtime or extended shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment or working with small hand tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience using measuring instruments and diagnostic equipment
Ability to accurately document production activities and technical data
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with mechanical or electromechanical assemblies
Familiarity with production testing, calibration, or system troubleshooting
Experience using optical equipment, lasers, or specialized testing equipment
Previous experience supporting engineering prototypes or product development
Ability to train or mentor other technicians

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
