Job Overview – Manufacturing Technician (Aerospace Manufacturing)We are seeking skilled Manufacturing Technicians, Production Technicians, and Machine Operators to support daily manufacturing operations, equipment troubleshooting, and process improvement. This position plays a key role in maintaining production flow, meeting delivery schedules, and ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily production operations to ensure on-time delivery and manufacturing output goals
- Operate and monitor production machinery, automation systems, and manufacturing equipment
- Assist union technicians and production teams across multiple manufacturing lines
- Perform basic troubleshooting, machine adjustments, and issue reporting
- Maintain production flow and efficiency in a high-demand environment
- Develop and update:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Setup documentation
- Process control documents
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, process optimization, and downtime reduction
- Input and track production data using manufacturing systems and computer software
- Follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production floor
Minimum Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in:
- Manufacturing / production environments
- Machine operation or assembly
- Industrial or warehouse production roles
- Experience operating production equipment, machinery, or automated systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and documentation requirements
- Basic computer skills for:
- Data entry
- Production tracking
- Workflow systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in team-based manufacturing environments
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in aerospace manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or industrial production
- Familiarity with:
- Automation systems or CNC equipment
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
- Experience with SOP creation, process documentation, or production reporting
- CAD experience (preferred but not required)
- Experience using production tracking systems or ERP software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production setting
Work Environment & Schedule- Large, state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility in Maryland
- Production floor environment with:
- Machinery, automation, and precision systems
- Hands-on technical work
- 3 available 10-hour shifts (Thursday–Sunday):
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Training provided (30–60 days on day shift before assignment)
- Requires standing, walking, and working near production equipment
- Safety-focused, process-driven environment with required industrial PPE
