Job Title: Assembler
Job DescriptionAs an assembler, you will fabricate and assemble a variety of assemblies and supporting hardware, utilizing your knowledge of assembly techniques along with precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine the method and sequence of operations and dimensional and finish specifications. Additionally, maintaining accurate inventory is a key responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and calibrate production parts.
- Follow assembly drawings, customer ATP’s, and work instructions to build products to requirements.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including travelers, pull sheets, and forms for shipments.
- Lift materials (minimum 30lbs) and test manifolds.
- Mix ingredients, primers, adhesives, and sealants according to specifications.
- Trim, drill, ream, grind, sand, and finish parts using templates and hand tools.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements, including shipping details.
- Meet customer and company goals regarding quality, OTIF, and costs.
- Proficiently handle E10 transactions, including issuing material and operations.
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives companywide.
- Participate in additional duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed.
- Stay current with, and complete all required training as assigned.
- Adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and specific safety protocols, including PPE requirements.
Essential Skills- Experience using tools, machines, or hands to create products or components.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Good interpersonal skills and team-oriented.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High School diploma or GED.
- US Citizenship required.

Work Environment
The work environment includes both 1st and 2nd shifts. The 1st shift position in the Packboards Department runs from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday – Thursday and 6:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, requiring standing for most of the day while working with larger assembly parts. The 2nd shift position in the Gauge Department includes an additional $2.00 shift differential, with training on the first shift before moving to 2 pm to 12 am Monday – Thursday, focusing on small gauge assembly of parts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.75/hr.
