We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SOX professional to join our team as a key member of the SOX Program team, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

What youll be doing:

• Support the overall audit process, including planning, risk assessment, ongoing status reporting, remediation, and aggregation, to ensure timely and effective completion of audit milestones
• Support the SOX Coordinator for Corporate functions
• Maintain awareness and understanding of the control environment at all Business Areas, including IT
• Act as a point of contact for the SOX testers / business area coordinators
• Build and maintain positive relationships with business areas, service providers, external and internal auditors, and other stakeholders
• Provide guidance and support to business partners across the organization to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and promote a culture of internal control awareness

Who are you:
You are a highly skilled and experienced SOX professional with:

• Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and internal controls
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build and maintain positive relationships with business partners and stakeholders
• Ability to drive awareness and accountability of SOX compliance requirements across the business
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support the overall audit process and provide guidance to business partners
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong business acumen and understanding of the control environment at all Business Areas, including IT
Basic Qualifications:
* Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Business, Auditing, or a related field
* Minimum 3 years of experience in internal auditing with a strong understanding of modern SOX requirements
*Recent experience working in SOX frameworks of an SEC registrant with a mindset of continuous improvement
* Strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory requirements, with experience working with external auditors and regulatory agencies
* Collaborative and proactive approach, with strong project management and analytical skills
* Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with AuditBoard or similar GRC solutions
Desired Skills:
* Big 4 or other public accounting experience, with a deep understanding of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
* Active certification (CIA, CPA or equivalent)
* Prefer 4-6 years of experience in internal auditing with knowledge and action planning in modern SOX requirements
* Appreciation and excitement for making processes more efficient through the use of available technology, with experience in controls rationalization and modernizing SOX programs
* Large-scale project management experience, including monitoring of budget

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 - $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
