Position Summary:
As a Production Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of production and operating workers. You’ll be responsible for driving team performance, identifying and resolving production issues, and ensuring that quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of production personnel
- Recommend strategies to improve production methods, equipment efficiency, and product quality
- Monitor performance and implement motivational measures to improve team output
- Collaborate with technical and administrative staff to resolve production or processing issues
- Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems
- Analyze reports and maintenance logs to proactively detect production problems
- Hire, train, evaluate, and manage staff; address grievances and enforce policy compliance
- Prepare and maintain production reports, personnel records, and performance documentation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of production or manufacturing experience
- Proven experience in hiring, training, and managing teams
- Strong verbal communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- In-depth knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and safety compliance
- Familiarity with machines, tools, and maintenance best practices
- Understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and production schematics
