The DFP Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in ensuring production continuity for high‑visibility operations where material availability is essential. This position is responsible for designing and implementing supply chain processes, metrics, and systems that drive cost efficiency and performance optimization. The role proactively addresses challenges such as MRP inaccuracies, forecast variability, and supplier underperformance, while developing contingency plans to mitigate supply disruptions. Regular interaction with internal stakeholders and external suppliers is required to maintain operational performance, and the role presents supply chain metrics, insights, and strategic recommendations to leadership to support informed decision‑making.

Supply Chain Strategy & Planning – 25

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with operational goals and customer requirements.
  • Analyze historical data to create accurate forecasts, capacity planning models, and inventory targets.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, cost performance, and process reliability.

Supplier Management – 20

  • Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, delivery performance, and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Evaluate and qualify vendors; conduct regular performance reviews and corrective actions.
  • Negotiate pricing, service terms, and long‑term supply agreements.

Inventory & Materials Management – 20

  • Oversee inventory levels to prevent shortages, overstocks, and material disruptions.
  • Optimize reorder points, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies using data‑driven methods.
  • Ensure accuracy of material records, part traceability, and BOM alignment

Cross‑Functional Coordination – 15

  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Production Control to align supply chain decisions with business needs.
  • Provide material availability updates and ensure smooth communication across business units.
  • Support readiness for audits, compliance checks, and production milestones.

Logistics & Distribution Oversight – 10

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including freight, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Partner with logistics providers to drive cost optimization and service improvements.
  • Resolve shipping delays, customs issues, and transit damage claims.

Data, Reporting & Technology Integration – 10

  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage supply chain workflows and reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and analytics to monitor performance (OTD, inventory turns, supplier scorecards).
  • Identify and implement technology‑driven process enhancements.
  • Negotiating supplier agreements, delivery timelines, and cost structures.
  • Managing global supply constraints, fluctuating lead times, and quality‑related disruptions.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of supply chain or procurement experience, preferably in industrial, aerospace, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, sourcing, inventory control, logistics, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage cross‑functional projects and multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements related to procurement, materials, and international shipping.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and supply chain performance metrics.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and managing supplier relationships.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
