ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Avionic Supervisor is responsible for supporting highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries.
- Assists Aircraft Branch Managers by providing technical directions/guidance to all assigned flightline personnel.
- Plan, track, and schedule training for personnel to become proficient in maintaining aircraft assigned to the 89th Air Wing and to meet contractual requirements.
- Will coordinate maintenance efforts with the Production Supervisor and Maintenance Operation Control Center (MOCC) to ensure all mission scheduled aircraft are Fully Mission Capable (FMC).
- Is the point of contact for COMSEC equipment/items.
- Monitors the status of aircraft in work that the Avionics Section is supporting, including software updates.
- Ensure personnel practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) awareness/prevention, and workplace safety.
- Ensure HAZCOM and HAZMAT programs are followed according to the applicable directives.
- Review, evaluate, and take corrective actions based on quality assurance and the Contractor Officer Representatives (COR) reports.
- Will ensure corrective measures are implemented to meet contract requirements, improve maintenance quality, and prevent the development of adverse trends.
- Perform root cause analysis when applicable. Review aircraft 781 forms documentation and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) for accuracy.
- Reviews aircraft records to ensure required maintenance has been performed, hourly and calendar tracked events are current, and all associated documentation has been accurately completed.
- Assist personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components.
- Ensure repairable parts are promptly processed through the proper supply repair channels within the required time frame.
- Provides continuous on-the-job training (OJT) for maintenance personnel and new employees.
- Reviews status of training daily/weekly/monthly. Performs other duties related to the occupational field as assigned, to include temporary duty (TDY) and travel assignments as required.
- Must be flexible to work first shift, second shift, third shift, and/or weekend shift as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance is required: NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
- Ability to read and interpret data is required.
- Able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license, and all other security requirements as required by contract stipulations is required.
- Ability of lifting objects weighing 50 pounds or less is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years’ supervising/managing personnel is preferred.
- Aircraft electronics, avionics, communications and circuit analysis knowledge is preferred.
- A Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license, computer certification or avionics/crypto background is preferred.
- Knowledge of Satcom Direct, Iridium, Viasat and Starlink systems is preferred.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $110k to 150k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the new salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
