Position Summary
The Aero Repair & Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the strategic planning and execution of the Houston Aero Repair and Manufacturing (ARM) facility to ensure production efficiency, quality, and cost-effective management of resources to increase capacity, maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. The manager will lead the transformation of ARM to increase turbine piece part repair capabilities as well as supporting source material developments within our Supply Chain. PROENERGY ARM facility has state-of-the-art blue light, laser, superalloy welding, bonding, HVOF & TBC coatings with multiple spray booths, heat treatment, multi-axis machining, NDT and laboratory for materials analysis & test including SEM. This role will work in partnership with business stakeholders to deliver continuous cost, performance and process improvement.
Position Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of Aero Repair & Manufacturing Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead a team of development, inspection, repair and manufacturing professionals, to exceed customer expectations, with the highest level of quality at an optimized cost position
- Accountable for monthly process, meetings, metrics and reports. The position requires the ability to understand & influence the metrics for effective execution and delivery
- Translate objectives and needs into deliverable strategy to achieve business goals
- Manage the ARM team and activities to ensure execution of responsibilities, including ensuring appropriate resources and skill sets are in place including training or other capability enhancement
- Integration and building team of experts in existing inspection criteria, repair and machining to increase shop capability and capacity
- Install, commission and optimize new machines for use in aero piece part repairs
- Support reverse engineering and production of gas turbine airfoil and rotor components
- Leading both technical and shop talent
- Development of safe, high quality, reliable and cost-effective repair processes and components
- Quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness to customer/project specific scopes
- Optimize, streamline, and improve all inspection and repair processes
- Repair equipment and tooling definition and fabrication.
