Aero Mechanical is a well-established general aviation maintenance facility known for quality work, safety, and customer service. We service a variety of piston aircraft, and we’re currently looking for a skilled and motivated IA/Lead Technician to join our team.

Position Summary

As the Lead Technician, you’ll supervise and perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and guide a team of A&P mechanics. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the hangar and ensuring all work meets FAA and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanics performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Conduct inspections, repairs, and modifications on general aviation aircraft
• Sign off logbooks and ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate daily workload, assign tasks, and track progress
• Work directly with customers, parts department, and management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Mentor junior technicians and support training and development

• FAA A&P/IA License (required)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in general aviation maintenance
• Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, Cirrus, or similar aircraft
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and documentation procedures
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and lead by example
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Factory training or type-specific experience a plus
