Responsibilities:
Conduct flight line inspections of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics systems to confirm operational integrity.
Verify system functionality during troubleshooting and document faulty or non-compliant components.
Support and inspect pre-flight/post-flight checks, maintenance, and modification tasks to ensure airworthiness prior to delivery.
Perform self-inspections and contribute to the pre-delivery inspection process for aircraft systems and sub-systems.
Document and generate non-conformance records (NCRs) with minimal supervision.
Create and maintain accurate records in Velocity and related 787 production applications.
Collaborate with leads to plan, schedule, and organize inspection tasks independently.
Adhere to safety standards, environmental handling procedures, and support FOD prevention efforts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
Minimum 3 years of experience in the aerospace industry
At least 3 years in quality inspection and/or auditing roles
Proficiency using Velocity and other 787 production applications
Able to work any shift, including days, nights, and weekends
Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Preferred Qualifications:
FAA Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) license
3+ years of 787 program experience
3+ years of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk mitigation experience
Familiarity with REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications
Proficiency in non-conformance documentation systems:
3+ years of flight line operations experience
2+ years of team leadership (formal or informal)
Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
