Flight Line Quality Inspector - 787 Program

Responsibilities:

• Conduct flight line inspections of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics systems to confirm operational integrity.

• Verify system functionality during troubleshooting and document faulty or non-compliant components.

• Support and inspect pre-flight/post-flight checks, maintenance, and modification tasks to ensure airworthiness prior to delivery.

• Perform self-inspections and contribute to the pre-delivery inspection process for aircraft systems and sub-systems.

• Document and generate non-conformance records (NCRs) with minimal supervision.

• Create and maintain accurate records in Velocity and related 787 production applications.

• Collaborate with leads to plan, schedule, and organize inspection tasks independently.

• Adhere to safety standards, environmental handling procedures, and support FOD prevention efforts.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the aerospace industry

• At least 3 years in quality inspection and/or auditing roles

• Proficiency using Velocity and other 787 production applications

• Able to work any shift, including days, nights, and weekends

• Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) license

  • 3+ years of 787 program experience

  • 3+ years of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk mitigation experience

  • Familiarity with REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications

  • Proficiency in non-conformance documentation systems:

    • NC / NCR / RGEN / PU / SAT / SRR / RGEN Revision / EPD

  • 3+ years of flight line operations experience

  • 2+ years of team leadership (formal or informal)

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
