We’re a fast-growing general aviation maintenance shop specializing in Cirrus, Diamond, and piston singles — known for avionics upgrades, annual inspections, and premium concierge-style service. We’re passionate about aircraft safety, transparency, and doing things the right way — and we’re looking for someone who can bring operational leadership to help us keep growing.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on operations lead to manage workflow, drive job completion, and improve customer communication in our busy aircraft maintenance shop. This is not just an office job — you’ll be deeply involved in the flow of work, from opening jobs to ensuring invoices get paid.
You’ll work closely with our owner, sales director, and technicians to ensure every aircraft we touch moves through our shop efficiently, accurately, and profitably.
Responsibilities:
Lead job coordination from intake to completion:
- Open and track work orders
- Ensure jobs are prioritized by timeline, parts availability, and revenue impact
- Close jobs promptly, create invoices, and collect payment
Customer Communication:
- Serve as the post-sale point of contact for customers
- Provide status updates, answer timeline or billing questions
- Ensure clear communication between shop and aircraft owners
Team Accountability:
- Keep techs on track with daily priorities and work completion
- Follow up when jobs stall or run behind
- Identify inefficiencies and bring solutions to the table
Workflow & Tools:
- Use our CRM and quoting tools to track active jobs and customer history
- Monitor job status, invoicing, and parts readiness
- Work closely with the parts admin to ensure parts are ordered and staged
You’re a Fit If You:
- Have experience in general aviation maintenance, avionics, or 145 station operations
- Are organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by closing loops
- Aren’t afraid to hold a team accountable
- Communicate clearly and professionally with pilots and aircraft owners
- Have used (or can quickly learn) digital tools like CRMs, quoting systems, and spreadsheets
- Are comfortable on the shop floor — but love operations as much as wrenches
Bonus Points For:
- A&P License (not required)
- Experience managing a maintenance team or service center
- Familiarity with Cirrus or Diamond aircraft
- Past exposure to billing, customer service, or parts ordering
- You love a clean hangar, clear timelines, and a job done right
