Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $15.28-$20.28/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Process outgoing shipments in accordance with company procedures and carrier regulations.
Package products using appropriate materials and cushioning to ensure product integrity during transit.
Utilize shipping software and computer systems to route, track, and process shipments.
Verify quantity, weight, and part identification for conformance prior to shipment.
Coordinate with planners, material managers, and internal customers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Support and contribute to team goals, daily activity prioritization, and continuous improvement efforts.
Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as required.
Attend and participate in team stand-ups and planning meetings.
Safely lift heavy items and perform physical warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
High school diploma or equivalent
General understanding of shipping practices, packaging standards, and logistics procedures
Computer proficiency, including experience with shipping and inventory systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize daily tasks
Ability to work in a team environment and follow detailed instructions
Must be able to lift heavy items and perform warehouse work in a physically demanding environment
- Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in IATA/Dangerous Goods shipping
Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) or warehouse equipment
Familiarity with carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, DHL) and international shipping documentation
