We have an opportunity for a Logistics Sourcing Specialist Principal (Logistics Sourcing Manager) to join us at Honeywell Aerospace, in Bucharest. Establish and drive procurement of Transportation and Logistics services, for a determined Region, in alignment with business Leadership for more than one transportation mode as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. You will have regional responsibility for driving competitive supply strategies to achieve the lowest Total Cost and best in class service for your region. You will work with suppliers to reduce Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering, and Sole/Single Source elimination. You will manage Supplier Performance to support your category and/or region and ensure supply continuity. You may be managing several projects in a dynamic fast-paced environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export /Import regulations.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to accurately capture logistics business requirements from suppliers, manufacturing and end customer sites
• Structure and manage business requirements on comprehensive T&L data sets;
• Evaluate suppliers to identify strategic suppliers and drive value based partnerships;
• Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiations, Contracting, and supplier performance
• Drive productivity targets
• Drive a value proposition from analysis of complex data and spanet analysis
• Support design of Transportation and logistics (T&L) strategies to align with business Growth and New Product Introductions.
• Drive fast T&L strategy execution while managing Global Commodity Strategies including spend analysis;
• Support spanet research and benchspan T&L Cost, Market Analysis, and Global Technology / Economic trends
• Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leadership
• Stakeholder management: Align with Site Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance and Quality and Other Honeywell Businesses
• Manage T&L service contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions (i.e. Improve Working Capital through Payment Terms extensions, Vendor Managed Inventories Inventory, and Lead time reductions)
• Assist in Site Tactical Procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting as required;
• Support Logistics operational goals through continuous improvement initiatives for modes of transportation in order to optimize and balance cost with Service delivery;

Key skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or Bachelor’s and certifications in Supply Chain
• Working experience (and/or Leading a sourcing category) related to Transportation and Logistics
• 5+ yrs Experience in supply chain negotiations and building strategy across different businesses
• Demonstrated Business and financial acumen
• Expertise in data analysis, MS Excel, and Tableau / MS PBI
• Project Management and/or Supply Chain Experience is an advantage
• We value Professional Certifications in Supply Chain/Contract Management
• We value Team Leader experience in Supply Management
• Understanding of trade controls, incoterms and Experience in international trade compliance
• Experience with SAP, E Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
• Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Tools is a plus
