And were now looking for a Buyer to effectively manage large, complex supplier procurement activities and cross-functional relationships ensuring best practice purchasing techniques are applied at all times aligned with Parker-Meggitt policies and processes.

Your responsibilities
- Manage relationships with designated suppliers of goods and services to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness targets are being achieved.
- Conduct requests for quotation, evaluation, negotiations, and sourcing activities.
- Raise orders and/or other demand signals accurately and on time to ensure all goods and services are supplied in accordance with customer and company requirements.
- Continuous improvement in Inventory reduction.
- Accountable for proactive management of exception messages to manage optimum inventory.
- Ensure compliance with government laws and regulations and company policies and processes.
- Manage MRP (SAP) system and supply chain performance parameters such as supplier contact information, lead times, minimum order quantities, delivery frequency and schedules.
Who we are looking for
- Good understanding of MRP systems
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement
- Action oriented, taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
- Understanding of urgency and ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines
- Ability to Identify root cause and problem solving
