Summary and Objective  

Responsible for the procurement of all aircraft related parts, equipment and supplies to meet departmental requirements associated with the companys overall aircraft operations. This entails sourcing aircraft parts, initiating purchase orders, expediting existing orders and coordinating logistics to meet the immediate requirements.  

Essential functions

  • Continuous follow-up to ensure supplier and delivery commitments are met.  

  • Shall positively support and promote safety, security, and quality as a fundamental function of the overall responsibility.  

  • Ensure compliance with maintenance requisitions in a way that minimizes inventory investments and meets time requirements.  

  • Review all purchase requisitions for content, accuracy, interchangeability, and the level of urgency. Also monitor current stock levels and usages, to determine the necessity of the request.  

  • Determine the responsible sources of supply.  

  • Perform daily cycle counts.  

  • Evaluate purchases to ensure compliance with all Federal Regulations and Company policies regarding quality, documentation, and traceability.  

  • Expedite open purchase orders.  

  • Contact vendors to negotiate prices, obtain the most preferred tag and direct the method of shipment.  

  • Procure components, equipment and supplies with high levels of reliability while maintaining fiduciary responsibility to the Company.  

  • Oversee all material requirements during AOG situations.

  • Self-initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision.  

  • Shift work required - 4 days on 4 days off 

  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Job Requirements:

Required education and experience 

  • High School diploma or Equivalent  

  • Good driving record  

  • Strong customer service skills  

  • Ability to work evening, nights, weekends, holidays  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills  

  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification. 

  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position. 

Preferred education and experience 

  • 1 to 3 years Aerospace/ Aeronautics Experience 

  • Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.  

  • Candidates with Business Corporate Jet experience will be given priority 

  • Previous purchasing and/or inventory planning experience preferred.
