Job Description:
The Materials Finance Risk Management Leader will financially cover the following areas of Materials Management: Sales and Operations Planning Process (SIOP), Planning, and Fulfillment to drive optimal performance. This includes cost, delivery, quality, cash and profitability through the Supply Chain and Project execution. This is a highly cross-functional, cross-divisional role that is responsible for interpreting internal and external business challenges and translating them into financials cycles and results.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for activities that coordinate process and financials across the global supply chain network and across GE Aerospace Divisions.
  • Requires ability to influence the development of strategy and execution.
  • Leads functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Responsible for unit (clear to build, clear to launch) forecasting cycles - month updates, quarterly forecasts, long range forecasts - and the connection between Operations and Finance.
  • Opportunity to be involved in Production System HK for areas in scope for this role.
  • Responsible for partnering with Operations teams on policy and process build-out across areas covered.
  • Responsible for a team of 2 employees.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in finance/accounting
