STS Technical Services is hiring a Chief of Staff in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Position Summary:
Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief of Staff to join its leadership team. This role acts as a key advisor and operational partner to the executive team, driving alignment, managing priorities, and ensuring key initiatives are executed efficiently. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, can translate vision into execution, and excels at managing cross-functional collaboration.
Core Responsibilities:
- Align the leadership team on corporate strategy, goals, and key performance metrics
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects and transformation initiatives
- Prepare executive communications, board presentations, and strategic briefings
- Monitor progress of key initiatives and hold stakeholders accountable for deliverables
- Coordinate leadership meetings, agendas, and decision-making frameworks
- Manage the executive team’s bandwidth by filtering requests and prioritizing focus areas
- Serve as a liaison between executive leadership, business units, and corporate functions
- Identify organizational risks, operational gaps, and areas for process improvement
- Support M&A integration activities, operational reviews, and efficiency projects
- Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive corporate information with discretion
Qualifications:
- 10–20 years of experience successfully leading cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead directors and managers through operational strategy execution
- Experience developing and managing budgets, programs, and performance metrics
- Proven success in building partnerships with corporate, community, and civic stakeholders
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high level of diplomacy
- Experience in conflict resolution, coaching, and group facilitation
- Leadership presence and negotiation skills with a focus on driving results
