As a Repair Engineer, the core role responsibilities are centered around establishing and maintaining repair processes while collaborating with Afterspanet & Sustainment Engineering (ASE) and Customer Technical Services (CTS). The role will also provide technical advisory for clarifying aircraft engine technical data for part repair, repair process development, and associated work instructions to the Operations Department.
You will support other functions within the Engine Center to include Materials, Quality, and Accounts Management when routine technical questions and issues that may arise day to day.
What You Will Do:
Support Operations in solving any assembly/configuration/inspection problems.
Clarify aircraft engine repair work scopes and associated work instructions to the Operations Department.
Provide timely responses to Customer and Engineering technical Questions (IPFs).
Do appropriate research, supporting and advising other functional areas regarding technical issues related to quality, operations processes, materials, and customer support.
You will seek opportunities to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency using new materials, processes, or technology.
Assist with implementation of new materials, processes, or technology.
Assist in training mechanics, inspectors and others related to various technical issues.
Ensure that operations are implementing standardization of repair processes between shifts.
Demonstrate dedication to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by aligning with all policies and procedures, finishing the required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
Support invoice & cost reduction activities.
Participate in failure investigations and problem resolution boards.
Be a source of in-depth technical knowledge on the repair and test of Gas Turbines
History of exemplary responsiveness to Customer Issues and Team Assignments

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in Solumina G8 or equivalent Engine Maintenance System
Experience in aircraft engine Repair or the aerospace field preferred
Experience reading and/or interpreting engine manuals
Component repair and component repair utilizing complex machining or FAA interface preferred

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
