JOB SUMMARY:
The Engineer – Quality Assurance (Supplier Performance) manages Supplier Quality performance records and reporting, investigates part failures, requests corrective action and performs quality assurance activities related to new and revised part validation, such as conformity, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), robustness, and contractual Quality requirements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Perform activities which include but are not limited to:
- Investigate Production Part Failure
- Compile and distribute Metrics and Statistical Information
- Issue and follow up with Supplier Corrective Action Requests
- Define and communicate Quality Requirements for Suppliers
- Monitor and approve Supplier Industrial Transfer of Work
- Monitor FER database for Supplier On Site Technical assistance for Supplier Parts
- DFJ Notice of Escapes for Quality Escapes by Supplier or DFJ Production
- Perform Supplier Quality Performance Reviews and communicate Quality Goals
- Supply Chain Assessments and Reporting of Supplier Quality System Maturity
- Perform First Article Reviews, Last Article Reviews, or Current Article reviews at Supplier facility
- Plan, Prepare and Conduct Supplier meetings and Interactions, such as Quality Reviews as well is internal, Interdepartmental meetings
- Participate as Quality Representative for New Product Development Process
- Evaluate cost of Non-Quality
- Assist in Supplier QMS Audits as a Subject Matter Expert
- Evaluate Risk and produce Risk matrix on Supplier Parts
- Participate in the Supplier Concessions process for QASP
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) as related to product development or Industrial/Engineering part change
- Investigate In-Service Part Failure
- Other duties as assigned by management.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field. Work experience (in the categories shown below) may be substituted for completed, relevant education from an accredited college or university. 1 year of education 2 years of experience
- Quality System Requirements (Auditing, Investigations/Root Cause and Corrective Actions, Non-Conformance process, Supplier Quality requirements, Part conformance to design data, AS9100 and AS9102 procedures)
- Basic aircraft systems and structure knowledge
- Avionics and Cabin Entertainment system interface
- Electrical wiring and components (at the aircraft level or Component level)
- Cosmetic finishes
- Mechanical equipment
- Passenger comfort systems (seats, tables, etc)
- Technical Knowledge of Aircraft products and interactions in one of the following categories:
- Supplier Management Experience (Purchasing, Contracts, etc)
- 2 years of Aviation or Quality related work experience
- Advanced level computer skills using MS Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Basic Knowledge in CATIA software or other CAD based software, MES Systems, General software programs
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Must possess well-developed critical thinking, logic, decision-making, and analytical skills, be pro-active and team oriented.
- Must excel in handling multiple projects simultaneously and dynamically.
- Must be able to travel to Supplier facilities both domestic and international at varying frequencies.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiar with MS Access, Documentum
- Familiar with Customer Completion Specification and Design process
- ISO familiarization
- Familiarity with the French language or ability to use translation services to review documents in French
- DO-160 Familiar
- AS9100 Auditing Familiar
- Project Management Experience
- Experience with Cosmetic/Visual requirements
WORK CONDITIONS
Able to work overtime when required or adjust working hours on short notice to complete a task
Be able to travel by surface and air domestically and Internationally, even with short notice
Accomplish supplier visits in various environments (i.e. non air conditioned, humid, hot /cold, etc.)
Must be able to sit at a desk or work station for extended periods
Able to access aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to walk between various shop areas, climb, and kneel with or without reasonable accommodation.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The compensation for this position typically falls between $64,426.00 and $86,031.00 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime under FLSA guidelines. This position may be eligible for shift differential. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
