About the Role
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician to join our team in Columbus, MS. This position plays a critical role in supporting the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems on aircraft-primarily rotorcraft. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical/electronic work on aircraft and components, including fabrication, installation, and repair.
- Support helicopter-specific programs and maintenance operations.
- Conduct operational checks and diagnostics to ensure system functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions through adjustments, repairs, or part replacements.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, service manuals, and technical data to meet specifications.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power equipment, and test devices.
- Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of completed work.
- Coordinate with internal departments for materials, equipment, and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of avionics experience, preferably with rotorcraft.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing aircraft electrical systems.
- Familiarity with FAA compliance standards.
- Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
