Airtrex Maintenance and Modification, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Lead Avionics Technician with 5–10 years of focused avionics modification and integration experience. This role requires technical precision, disciplined leadership, and a strong understanding of the unique electrical and avionics architecture found in the King Air platform.

• 5–10 years of avionics experience, ideally with significant work on King Air 200/300 series platforms or similar.
• Demonstrated expertise in modification work, de-modification, STC installations, and system integration.
• Strong working knowledge of Garmin G1000/G1000NXi, Pro Line 21, or other King Air-specific avionics suites.
• Skilled in interpreting wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and OEM/engineering directives.
• Leadership experience managing technicians and coordinating multi-stage upgrade projects.
• Airframe license at MINIMUM is required; A&P/FCC is preferred.
• Familiarity with Part 91 maintenance practices, documentation standards, and reliability expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Determines when a component should be repaired or replaced
• Decides upon necessary repair scheme, quality, and type of parts needed to accomplish proper repair;  secures necessary parts from parts store/manager
• May submit completed /in process work to inspectors for review; submits to Quality Control for final/in progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness.
• Repairs, reworks, and modifies worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes to units when necessary.
• Task Card time management
• Fabricate wiring harnesses
• Installing and troubleshooting wiring harnesses, aircraft electrical systems, and electrical components.
• Additional performance of duties outside of the avionics discipline as requested /required by the Aircraft Maintenance Manager or Director of Maintenance.
