About Leading Edge Avionics

For over 40 years, Leading Edge Avionics has set the standard for excellence in avionics installation, repair, and innovation. Based in beautiful Southern California, we operate at both John Wayne Airport (SNA) and Chino Airport (CNO), serving elite clients who fly the very best — from high-performance general aviation aircraft to corporate jets.

Our people are our power: the average tenure here exceeds 15 years because our technicians love what they do — and where they do it. If you’re looking to work with cutting-edge technology, exceptional teammates, and a company that truly values your skill and dedication, this is where you want to be.

Your Mission

As an Avionics Install Technician, you’ll take the lead in removing, installing, and integrating advanced avionics systems in Part 135 and Part 91 general aviation and corporate aircraft. You’ll own the process — from planning and recommending equipment to wiring, installation, testing, and troubleshooting — ensuring that every system you touch performs flawlessly in the sky.

What You’ll Do

  • Install a full range of avionics systems across diverse aircraft types
  • Provide technical insights and process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure all work meets FAA regulatory standards and customer specifications
  • Perform detailed quality checks and deliver defect-free installations
  • Conduct and interpret functional tests of avionics/electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize avionics performance
  • (Bonus) Install cabin entertainment and in-flight Wi-Fi systems

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Full Medical & Dental Coverage
  • 401(k) with Company Contribution
  • Paid Vacation & Holidays
  • Relocation Assistance
  • Company-Sponsored Training & Certifications
  • Angels Baseball Tickets & Company Sport Fishing Trips
  • A supportive environment that rewards innovation and excellence

At Leading Edge, we believe in rewarding craftsmanship, creativity, and commitment. You’ll be part of a team that values both precision and passion — and you’ll see the impact of your work take flight every day.

Job Requirements:

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of avionics installation experience
  • Proven skill with Garmin, Honeywell, and Gogo systems
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations and installation standards
  • Hands-on experience from single-engine aircraft to mid-sized jets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
  • Must pass airport background check

Who You Are

You’re not just a technician — you’re a craftsman of the sky.
Driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about aviation, you take pride in doing things right the first time. You’re eager to grow your skills, contribute ideas, and be part of a company where excellence is not only expected but celebrated.
