We provide comprehensive critical operational, engineering and customer support solutions including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We’re looking for a Marketing and Airline Analyst to join our ranks!
Purpose of the role:
Key focus will be to support marketing initiatives for CRJ and regional aircraft within the Strategy, Business Development, and Communications group. Responsibilities include advancing CRJ sustainability plans, identifying new market opportunities, and contributing to long-term growth strategies.
Here are the daily responsibilities for a Marketing and Airline Analyst:
Marketing analysis:
- Provide market intelligence and insight to MHIRJ leadership and other internal groups
- Be an advocate for customer requirements (Voice of the Customer)
- Monitor regional aircraft industry trends and develop regular market intelligence reports
- Become the Subject Matter Expert for commercial aircraft marketing tools such as PACE Missions, Aviation Week Intelligence Network (AWIN), OAG, Alpha Sense and other resources to gather insights and inform decision-making
- Support airline marketing analysis via:
- Airline Network Strategy (Traffic forecasting, network structure optimization, hub optimization, aircraft utilization/schedule optimization, market strategy development and optimization)
- Airline Fleet and Product Strategy (Airline competitive assessment, aircraft selection and acquisition, aircraft re-marketing and trading, aircraft cabin layout optimization)
- Airline Cost and Revenue Optimization (Fleet mix optimization, route profitability assessment, business plan development, network partnership and joint venture development)
- Lessor and Financing Strategy (Market trends and business opportunities, aircraft and engine selection, commercial and operational analysis)
- Identify market opportunities using data mining and analytics to support strategic decision‑making.
- Provide research for ad‑hoc advisory/consultancy projects
Aircraft analysis:
- Support competitive comparisons of commercial aircraft by applying knowledge of flight dynamics.
- Provide aircraft performance analysis using PACE Missions aircraft performance software
- Develop optimized aircraft operating conditions to achieve preferred performance outcomes.
- Validate operating cost inputs and generate aircraft economic comparisons under varying market conditions
- Prepare concise reports highlighting preferred aircraft solutions.
Here is what is required to succeed:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related aviation-focused field
- 3+ years of experience within the aviation industry, preferably within Marketing or Engineering
- Familiarity with airline marketing within the commercial aviation sector is an asset
- Demonstrated interest in airline industry (e.g. pilots license, AME, experience with airlines, work experience from aircraft OEM or major aircraft component/part supplier)
