ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
SITA is accelerating its transformation toward a modern, cloud‑native, data‑driven enterprise. As Lead Data Architect – Microsoft Fabric, you will not only bring expertise in data architecture and integration but also play a critical role in driving transformation and innovation within the CTO organization. Being able to successfully support CTO wider vision requires the ability to employ your skills in AI, Data Automation and Data Science to design data models that will drive business automation efficiencies and meaningful analytics insights
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Analyze business and data requirements and translate them into fit-for-purpose data architecture designs.
- Engage with stakeholders to recommend and shape current and future data architecture solutions.
- Design and govern data architecture using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring consistency with enterprise standards.
- Define and oversee data ingestion and integration approaches (batch, streaming, APIs, files).
- Apply data architecture best practices including data modelling, metadata management, and change control
- Provide data architecture guidance and support to internal and external delivery teams.
- Ensure all data architecture activities comply with agreed strategies, standards, and processes.

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
Demonstrated ability to apply
- Big Data expertise to design scalable, cloud native architectures that support enterprise-wide analytics and high-volume data processing.
- Big Data engineering patterns to optimize ingestion, transformation, and storage layers within Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse environments.
- Data Automation to streamline ingestion, integration, and transformation processes across batch, streaming, API, and file-based sources.
- Data Science awareness to design data models and Lakehouse structures that enable ML/AI -ready applications and analytics across the enterprise.
- ML oriented design principles to structure data flows that meet the requirements of advanced analytics teams.
- Continuous Development & Tech Curiosity, staying ahead of advances in cloud data engineering & Fabric capabilities while adopting new analytical and automation technologies
- Thought leadership to coach teams and represent the data architecture discipline in cross-functional initiatives
- Customer-centric thinking to architect data platforms that elevate operational efficiency, and enable solutions that respond to user demand, create value, and drive business outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline
- 8+ years’ experience in data architecture within enterprise environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or modern cloud data platforms.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- A recognized professional qualification is desirable.
- MS Fabric certification is a plus.
