Are you a detail-oriented and analytical accounting professional looking for a challenging role that supports the financial operations of a global leader in the aerospace and defense industry? Look no further than Lockheed Martins Global Financial Services (GFS) organization, where we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join our team. As an AP Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial statements and supporting tax reporting and compliance for Lockheed Martin business areas and the corporation.



What Youll Be Doing:
•Perform weekly IBS billing and booking to reflect payment activity performed by GFS on behalf of the business areas
•Complete General Ledger reconciliations and reviews on a monthly basis
•Support month-end closing journal entries
•Resolve complex issues, respond to reporting requests, and analyze system issues
•Provide ad hoc and backup tax support and contribute to process improvement initiatives
•Participate in special projects and assume additional responsibilities as needed to support the organization

Who You Are:
You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional with:
•Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
•Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
•Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
•Experience with financial systems and software applications
•Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Accounting, Finance, or related degree, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Proven knowledge of key accounting concepts, including experience with account reconciliations, issue resolution, and accounting journal transaction posting
- Effective Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results while managing multiple tasks/priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of accountability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
- Quick learner with a strong aptitude for various systems, processes, and technologies and a willingness to take on backup responsibilities as needed
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience with SAP
- Demonstrated ability to quickly and efficiently identify and implement effective process improvements

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $66,000 - $114,425. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,400 - $101,200. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
